Unfortunately due to sickness and lack of drivers, Bus 11 will not be operating this afternoon. You may pick up your student at MES or Washington. If your student goes to Phillips they will able to be picked up at Washington. Their transfer bus will still take them to Washington to keep the students together.
Marietta City Schools youth night will be this Friday, September 13 at 7 p.m. at Don Drumm Stadium. Kids are given free entry with a tiger jersey or shirt. Come out and support the tigers under the Friday night lights!
Tonight is the triumphant return of Principal Lantz's Tucked in Tuesday. We hope you will join us this evening for a story before bed time, but don't worry if you miss it or already are fast asleep you can always watch it the next day!
Now that we are all back in school and will be heading toward the cooler months, preventing sickness is going to be key for staying healthy and happy this school year. Here are some tips for helping to prevent you from getting sick and some to prevent spreading it if you do get sick.

The 2024 MHS Cheer Youth Cheerleading Clinic will be held on September 10 and is open to all K-6th graders. The schedule is below:
K-2nd: 5-6 p.m.
3rd -6th: 6:30-8 p.m.
In addition to the instruction day students will be able to cheer at the high school varsity football game and receive free admission to the game.
The camp is $40 per child, additional children from the same family can be added for $25.
For our first varsity home football game of this season we'd like to invite all current military personnel, veterans and first responders to hopefully enjoy a Tiger victory on the house! Due to extreme heat this week we will be pushing back our game start time to 8 p.m. this Friday August 30th. Spread the word and lets pack the house for the Tigers this Friday!
Kindergarten we are so excited to see you this week! Our class lists will be posted at 4 p.m. today, we ask that you do not share these lists on social media for privacy purposes.
Just a reminder that tomorrow we will have an two open houses, one from 1-3 p.m. and one at 5-7 p.m.. These are so you may visit your students classroom, drop off supplies and meet their teacher.

It was a wonderful first week and we would like to thank our bus drivers for working so hard to get our students to and from school safe and on time. Please be patient as they continue to improve their route times as the year goes on. In addition, make sure you check out the Bus Quest app for detailed information about your students bus route, receive news about delays, and even receive a notification when your students bus is about to arrive.

The Marietta Soccer League's Fall Registration is open! Children ages 4-15 are to signup at to https://marietta.demosphere-secure.com/_registration to register.
Fall registration is $55 including the uniform.
Registration closes August 28th. Practices start the week of September 9th, and games will start September 15th and are on every Sunday until October 27th.

On August 27 from either 1-3 p.m. or from 5-7 p.m. we'd like to invite our Kindergarten families to visit us in order to meet your students teacher, drop off supplies and experience your new classroom for the first time. We hope to see you all there!
Also for those who are asking Kindergarten will be having a staggered start. So students will either start Wednesday August 28, Thursday August 29, or Friday August 30th. Students with last names starting A-E start on Wednesday the 28th. Students with last names starting with F-O will start on Thursday the 29th and students with last names starting with P-Z will start on August 30th. After this staggered start then all students will be together in school starting on Tuesday, September 3rd (the 2nd will be Labor Day).
Families of 1st & 2nd graders: We will have an open house from 2-3pm on Tuesday, August 20th. This will be a chance to meet teachers, see classrooms, and drop off school supplies. We hope to see you there!

The new school year is just around the corner and we are so excited to see our students again! We wanted to kick the year off right for our K-2 families with our Back to School Fair! The event will be held on August 19, from 6-7 p.m. at the Junior Fair Building at the Washington County Fair Grounds. In addition to being a great chance to see some of our staff we will have everything listed below at the event:
