Marietta High School- REMINDER Open House/Orientation will be tomorrow, Monday-August 21st. 4:00-6:00 pm (Open House) 8th/9th Grade Students and New Students can report to their homerooms (Listed Below) to pick up their schedule, tour the building and meet their teachers for the 23/24 school year. 5:30-7:30 pm (7th Grade Orientation) - Students and Parents should report to the auditorium by 5:30 for a quick Overview. Once the overview is finished, students will be able to report to their homerooms to get their schedule and to tour the building and meet their teachers for the 23/24 school year. Marietta Athletic Department Sports Passes are on sale! Get yours this week at the MHS Office or Athletic Office! Passes will also be on sale at the following home events: Varsity Football v Fort Frye - Friday @ 7pm Varsity Boys Soccer v Eastern Brown - Saturday @ 7pm Varsity Volleyball v Fairland - Saturday @ 11am JV/Varsity Girls Soccer v Dover - 8/24 - 5:30pm/7:30pm Passes are good for all home, regular season MHS 7th-12th grade sporting events for the 23-24 school year! Marietta High School Traffic Pattern Please note the following procedures: 1. Student Drop Off and Pick Up is located on Colegate Side of the Building (115 Academy Drive, Marietta, OH) 2. Bus transportation and Student Registered Parking located on Davis Side of the Building (208 Davis Avenue) 3. Parents dropping students off or picking students up must utilize the Colegate side of the building in order to sign out your child. Please refer to review our new sign out procedure. 4. Parents- please note that a representative for the Washington County DJFS contacted me to explain that the company will be strictly enforcing any parent who tries to drop off their student using the 204 Davis Avenue Parking lot. Acceptable Use Forms Parents- please note that the MCS acceptable use form for the 2023-2024 school year has been updated. Prior to student devices being distributed, every student must complete this form and return the form to their homeroom teacher. Without the signed form, students will not be able to be issued their devices. Please note that all 7th and 8th grade devices will be classroom sets instead of individual student devices for the 23/24 school year. Even with this new policy, all 7th and 8th grade students must have this form completed prior to computer use. CCP students who have started their college classes this week may bring a signed copy into the high school tomorrow from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to receive their student device. Good afternoon- This message is to inform parents/guardians, staff and students that the Marietta Police Department will be conducting live training sessions at Marietta High School today (August 8th) and tomorrow (August 9) from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm. This training will include several officers throughout the training time period and will include loud gun fire (blanks) for the training purpose. For the volleyball scrimmage on August 9th, we ask that all spectators utilize the Davis Parking lot for the athletic event. Thank You

Directions for obtaining college textbooks. The bookstores at Washington State Community College and Marietta College are now closed. Online ordering will be completed by Mrs. Elder. CCP students will need to email Mrs. Elder their schedule at aelder@mariettacsdoh.org. When she receives your schedule you will receive an email confirmation. Mrs. Elder will notify you by college email when your books are ready to be picked up. Please set up your college email and use your college email to set up your Ecampus account. CCP students will need to create an account at https://wscc.ecampus.com/ or https://marietta.ecampus.com/ with your college email (keep your username and password in a safe place). Online books and online codes will be sent to your Ecampus accounts.

Marietta High School Orientation/Open House Dates There will be an open house held on Monday, August 21st from 4:00-6:00 pm for 8th and 9th grade students. Students and Parents can tour the classrooms and meet with the teaching staff during this time. Schedules can be picked up in homerooms. Schedules will be posted in IC on August 21st and a homeroom list will be sent out prior to Open House. 7th Grade Orientation will be held on Monday, August 21st from 5:30-7:00 pm. Students and Parents should report to the auditorium for a quick meeting at 5:30. Parking Passes- Can be obtained in the school office from 8:00-2:00 on the following dates: August 8th------------ Seniors Only ** Please note that Seniors who purchase a parking pass will have the option to paint their individual parking spots on either the Colegate or Davis parking lots. These parking spots will be designated by the Senior Class.
